Vince’s Restaurant, Famous For Its Instagram Feed And Italian Buffet, Raising Money To Rebuild After Fire

CLEARING — Last time we talked to Michael Micky Parmigiani, he was dealing with the social media fervor around his family s restaurant, Vince s Restaurant and Pizzeria, 6217 W. 63rd St., on the Southwest Side. After the 70-year-old restaurant struggled through the pandemic, Parmigiani started posting videos on Instagram about his made-from-scratch Italian-American food. Within weeks, the unpretentious videos went viral.  But the restaurant is dealing with a completely different issue now. On Oct. 8, a fire broke out during service in the upstairs storage room. No one was hurt, but the restaurant suffered extensive smoke and water damage and will remain closed for the foreseeable future, Parmigiani said. We were all there, said Parmigiani.
