Winning without completing a pass? The Bucs just did it vs. the Falcons — Pinecrest Technology news

Yes, you read that right. An NFL team won a game in 2026 without completing a single pass. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took down the Atlanta Falcons 16-0 in an NFC South affair in which Baker Mayfield did not complete a pass. The veteran quarterback attempted three throws while taking one sack. The weather was a significant reason, as the soggy rain in Tampa Bay made the running game a priority for both sides. Bucky Irving touched the rock 27 times for 170 yards and a score. His backup, Kenny Gainwell, went for 140 yards on 25 carries. Mayfield scrambled four times for 14 yards. Yet, Atlanta had no answer. Michael Penix Jr. threw four picks on a day where he completed just 8-for-24 passes for 125 yards. Bijan Robinson ran for 76 yards on 19 carries, but the offense was held blank. The last time an NFL team won a game without completing a pass was the 1974 Buffalo Bills. The Bills also scored 16 points in that game in a 16-12 win over the New York Jets. Si
